We have a vacancy for a Level 1 Tumble coach, or for someone with an interest in gaining their level 1 in Tumble.
The successful applicant will coach our Development Tumble section, which will train 4 hours per week once we return to our pre-lockdown timetable. The hours would be weekday evenings with the possibility of some weekend hours.
If you would like to be considered for this post please email email@example.com providing your full details and gymnastics experience.
With the latest announcement today from the Government that all gyms and leisure centres should close as soon as possible, the gym will now be closed indefinitely from tonight.
There will be no classes on this weekend.
We apologise for the inconvenience, but as you can understand we must follow the guidance laid out by the government at this time.
Please be sure to follow us on social media to get updates on “remote training”.
Following the advice last night from Scottish Gymnastics, our intentions were to leave the club open, with the introduction of a number of measures to minimise the risk of exposure to COVID-19 at the club.
However, today the First Minister of Scotland has announced that schools will be closing from the end of this week.
With this, the club has decided to follow in the same measure. All classes beyond Friday 20th of March 2020 will be cancelled indefinitely. This includes the Easter Camp.
The coaching staff are going to be organising some materials that gymnasts can use to continue training in isolation during the closure. We will post these as soon as possible.
Obviously we are in difficult times as a club, as a community and as a country. We would like to extend our thanks to all members / parents that have offered support to the club in terms of advice, additional cleaning and continued financial support.
As the club is forced to close its doors during this period, we will certainly not be charging fees. However, we do need to look after our coaching staff during this time. A number of parents have offered to continue to pay their monthly fees. If you are able to do so, then the club will be most grateful for your donation.
We will also be seeking guidance and help from Scottish Gymnastics, OSCR and the Scottish Government in efforts to ensure the club is still standing once the current Coronavirus pandemic has subsided.
Please, if you have any questions or concerns, then get in touch either via email to firstname.lastname@example.org or through one of our social media channels.

We are, however, cancelling the Easter Disco and will not be organising any additional activities until further notice.

Scottish Gymnastics have released another update on the ongoing situation regarding the Coronavirus pandemic.
We continue to monitor advice from the Scottish Government on Coronavirus (COVID-19). At this stage the advice does not suggest that all sporting events should be cancelled and therefore our events on 14 and 15 March are currently going ahead. This decision has been taken in line with Scottish Government advice and following consultation with British Gymnastics, our technical panels and host venues. All clubs, gymnasts and spectators attending events are reminded of the current advice: if you have a fever (temperature) or persistent cough, you’re asked not to attend. If you are attending in any capacity, please follow the guidance of ‘Catch it, Bin it, Kill it’ and ensure you regularly wash your hands throughout the event. We’ll post any updates at https://www.scottishgymnastics.org/news/guidance-coronavirus and on social media.
