The Display section will be performing their new routine for the first time on 2nd November at the Lagoon Centre in Paisley at an event hosted by Sapphire Gymnastics Club. With many new gymnasts recently joining Display this will be an exciting day for them all.
They will perform again on 16th November at Scottish Gymnastics Gymfest, in Perth.
As many of you will know, there have been a number of coaching changes within the club recently.
Coaches Moving On
Janice is moving on from Kingston Gymnastics to take on a Sports Coaching position with Celtic F.C. We wish Janice all the best in her new position.
Millie is also heading off in a new Nursing career. We wish her luck with her new job, but hope to still see her around the club from time to time.
Andy has also stepped down as head coach of NDP, and has gone on to join the team over at Hamilton Gymnastics Club.
Coaches Moving Up
We are delighted to announce that Sophie Mulholland will be taking on a full time role with the club. As of November 4th, Sophie will be taking over as head coach of Acro NDP and we are as excited as she is about the plans going to be put in place.
Sophie will be assisted by Colin, who will take more responsibility for NDP along with his other duties as Head Coach. The club will also be supporting Sophie as she goes for her Level 2 Coaching Certificate.
Coaches Moving In
The club is also still advertising for additional coaches to join the team. If you or anyone you know is interested, please get in touch via email to email@example.com
We are hoping to have short biographies of all our coaches soon so we can let you all know a little more about them. Check our Coaches page in the future for updates!
As you may have spotted on our Facebook Page earlier this week, we are excited to announce the new class structure for our Recreational Gymnasts.
Returning gymnasts will be analysed this week to determine what grade they will be placed in for the rest of the year. Once the gymnast has their grade, you will be able to purchase a wristband for them (£2) that can then be worn to training. This will allow coaches to easily identify what stage each gymnast is at during training.
